Organization With A Simple Blog Planner

Blogging
Are you blogging as part of your overall content marketing strategy? Are you blogging  just for personal expression? Are you intimidated by blogging, and have yet to try it? If you answered yes to any of these questions, you're going to like this new organizational tool! Organizing your blog ideas and to-do's can be a rather involved task. How do you manage all your blogging ideas, random notes, affiliate programs, giveaways, new plugins to try, etc.? Personally, I've used a combination of notebooks, different color post-its, lists and spreadsheets to keep track of all my randomness. Although this hodge-podge of methods has worked for me, I admit it's not most efficient way to manage my blogging strategy. It definitely leaves much to be desired. But alas... I found this great…

Social Media Is Not A Bullhorn, Please Stop Screaming At Me

Social Media Is Not A Bullhorn, Please Stop Screaming At Me

Social Media
I have noticed there are lots of entrepreneurs that use “follow me” or “like my page” as their social media strategy. They’re offering zero in the way of engagement, fostering networking, conversation or interaction. Have you noticed this too? Does it drive you nuts? Or... are you one of the offenders? You don't have to admit it publicly. But if you are a fan of the bullhorn "team follow back" strategy, it's ok, I'm going to help you out right now! First things first, please stop with the bullhorn tactics. Social Media Is Not A Bullhorn, Please Stop Screaming At Me No shouting allowed here Social media is a relationship building tool, a way to meet and interact with your audience and peers. Social media is not a big bullhorn from…

Networking Tip: Never Run Out of Business Cards Again!

Networking
Have you ever attended a networking event and run out of business cards? You reach into your pocket, wallet, briefcase, business card holder, or purse - and come up empty? How embarrassing! This way, you make sure they receive your email and they associate you with the email.  …

I'm talking since DAY 1 this event was destined to become a life changing experience for anyone that participated and attended. Why was I so tenacious in promoting SWIBA? I knew every female entrepreneur would want to attend this event, whether she knew it or not! The 2012 Stiletto Woman In Business Awards [caption id="attachment_24313" align="aligncenter" width="960"] What started out as a conference became an EXPERIENCE![/caption] A Magnificent Scene to Behold I was filled with pride as I looked out into the audience and observed all these beautiful women that were soaking in all the knowledge from…

Atlanta’s Growing Police Brutality Problems Now Include Me!

Random Chats
This post is a personal reflection. It's off-topic from what you're accustomed to seeing here, but I felt it important enough to share. I have a platform, and I need to use it. Keep reading and you'll understand. I've been out of sorts for a little while now. Here's why: One morning my hubby fell off his moped in trying to avoid hitting a car in front of him that changed lanes while driving down our small street. (more…)
