The simplified version of the system is that it combines the power of content marketing, with the effectiveness of lead magnets, harnessing the power of communication to build relationship, using the 10 Point Touch theory. Whew, that’s a lot.

In this system, the communication flow is key. That communication is designed to take the recipient on a journey as you build a relationship and trust. And we all know customers (donors) buy from brands (people) or causes they know and trust.

Adding to the system is the 10 Point Touch theory which predicts that for a prospect (donor or customer) to act they need to see or have at least 10 to 12 (or more) touch points of communication from your brand.

This system is the same model we use in our SuperDonor Framework training for nonprofit fundraisers. The concept is communication focuses on the donor’s (customer) needs.

That’s why all those high-pressure sales funnels usually don’t work. They want the marriage before the courtship.

Look at the system strategically.

Developing the customer’s journey has now become simplified because with the help of a content specific lead magnet you know exactly what they were looking for.

What you get is something very powerful – the ability to communicate further without pressure, to ask questions, and get feedback – build a relationship.

We mentioned before about leveraging the power of educational content with social impact.  What does that mean?

Earlier we defined content marketing as “basically, anything that has educational value.” Strategically let’s focus on the educational value of your content and the resulting impact.

When educational content is offered to the community it has a ripple effect of social impact. The community is enriched and gains knowledge because of your actions, whether intentional or not.

What if it were intentional? What if you create an education hub where all your content is found in one place?  A series of content-driven landing pages.
