When this happens, it increases the amount of people who are seeing and engaging with  your business. As a result, you can serve more customers than you ever thought possible.

There are many platforms when it comes to social media, but don’t spread yourself too thin. You should have a profile on all of the main ones. This is going to include Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn. Nowadays, businesses are exploring TikTok, so this is something to consider.

Share The People Behind The Business

Another thing that you should think about is the fact that when you use social media, you have the chance to show people the people behind the business. This can enhance your marketing because it will allow people to put a face to the brand. Oftentimes, people use their logos as their social media profile pic, because they want their company to be seen as bigger than it is. Embrace being a small company!

People want to do business with people, and a smaller company can capitalize on this by showing the people putting in the hard work at the company on a daily basis. Whether you highlight the store clerk, or take a selfie with the sous chef, your audience will make a connection with your brand and the people behind it. If you’re an online company and/or working with a remote team, pick a time to “spotlight” team members. These kinds of shares make a lasting impression on the people who buy from you.  

Have Fun With Promotions

Experiment with promotions and events in order to get people interested in your products and services. It’s become commonplace to offer prizes as fans engage with you and your business on social media. You can do this during a Live event if you are using something like Facebook or Instagram so that they can see you and interact with you as a person, not just the large business they have come to know. You can find places to visit online where you can purchase the prizes that you are going to give out, so make sure that you get branded merch that has your company name on them!

Distribute Multimedia Content 

Finally, social media allows you to post multimedia content. Pictures, videos, polls and so much more are available to post on most social media platforms. This means that you can create a variety of fun, engaging content for your audience. Whether the purpose is to entertain, inform, educate or inspire, fans are delighted to consume multimedia content. Remember, different people respond differently to each type of post, which is a great reason to switch up your content!
