Mornings can make or break your day. Oftentimes we have the best intentions the night before. Before we go to bed we think to ourselves, what did I accomplish today? Then, after reflection of the day that got away, we challenge ourselves to wake up renewed and refreshed tomorrow, with a plan to manage the day better.
Then we wake up, and after hitting the snooze button we grab our phones to check on emails and social media. Next, we hit the floor running and whatdoyaknow, the day is already running us! We lose track of the best intention we had the night before, the one about starting a new morning ritual.
This cycle seems to repeat itself over and over again. While we dream about managing our days better, we try to grab hold of the day too late. It’s all about the morning, the morning is what we have to control.
5 Morning Rituals for Productivity and Happiness
How you start the morning sets the tone for the rest of your day. Simple rituals can be effective at increasing your confidence and alleviating your anxiety.
Let’s be clear, this is not one of those posts that talks about waking up earlier every day. You probably don’t get enough sleep as it is!
Being a productive early riser is not just about waking up before everyone else. After all, you can wake up early, grab a cup of coffee and spend two hours catching up on Facebook. This is not the definition of productive that we’re going for!
I came across this brief video, 5 Morning Rituals for Productivity and Happiness, on Facebook and thought of my entrepreneur friends. I’d love to know what you think!
My favorite tip is the first tip. Can I tell you something about myself? I am horrible when it comes to waking up by an alarm clock. I am one of those people who hits the snooze button easily four times before I even move a leg out of bed. No exaggeration… I’ve been this way my entire life.
I can certainly embrace number 4, seeing as I spend too much time planning and letting little fires distract me. Gotta practice self care a lil better in 2017. How about you?
Ciao,
Miss Kemya
I needed this badly. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong but in the middle of the day, I sometimes feel sick.
That’s not good. Hopefully this helps 🙂
