Book Review: We Should All Be Millionaires

I’ve been following Rachel Rodgers for years, well before her current conglomerate Hello Seven. And what I have always appreciated is her candor and telling it like it is, whether it’s pretty or not. Facts is facts!

So when I learned that she secured a book deal and she was in the lab writing, I was ecstatic! I knew this book would be a good one. And as usual. SHE DOES NOT DISAPPOINT.

What can I say about Rachel Rodgers? We Should All Be Millionaires: A Woman’s Guide to Earning More, Building Wealth, and Gaining Economic Power is her battle cry to women everywhere, to think at a higher level in terms of earning more and building wealth, to make a lasting impact in the community and society at large.

Wealth Creation Is Not About That $5 Latte

What I love about this book is that Rachel does not advise the typical nonsense to save money. You know, the “stop drinking lattes out and brew your coffee at home” and all the other BS women are advised to do to save money.

Instead, she approaches wealth creation and building from my kind of angle. Don’t try to decrease your expenses and remove your small daily pleasures. You need to be looking at increasing your income and earning more! Wealth creation takes more than saving a few pennies a day in a mason jar.

Who Should Read We Should All Be Millionaires

I recommended every female over the age of 15 should read this book. EVERY. FEMALE. This book will get young ladies in the right frame of mind, as they embark on their journey to success and fulfillment.

As for the rest of us adults, this book can light a spark that can change the world! Whether you’re an employee looking to climb the corporate ladder, or an entrepreneur building a brand, you can use the principles and path laid out in this book to get paid.

Oftentimes, women do not understand they (we) are being discriminated against, paid less, or treated as less than. Because money is not openly talked about in a proactive “go get this money” kind of way, women are making less for no damn reason other than they don’t know better. It’s time to get educated and change that!

This is the book that you did not know you needed.

Earning more and wealth building is a mindset shift, and skipping that $5 a day latte is not the path to any kind of wealth. It’s time to ignore this nonsensical advice once and for all.

Rachel Dives Deep On A Topic Too Few Women Openly Discuss

She also integrates the patriarchal structure of society, and how it is built to keep women broke AF, working too damn hard for too little money. We need to be more aware of the systems in place that directly impact our ability to generate revenue. And we must be willing to change what we don’t like. From learning the art of negotiation, to outsourcing household help, this book is the foundation for a whole lotta conversations that women need to have with each other.

You cannot change what you don’t recognize as problematic. And it’s time women stop thinking small. Acquiring wealth requires most of us women to reprogram our thinking, to claim our power. Because, as Rachel says, we should all be millionaires! Start with this book, shift your mindset and apply the principles… that’s how you get started!
