Every business requires consumers – it is the basic cornerstone of the concept. There is no business without consumers; there is only an idea and an inventory.
The next stage once a business has been founded and a client base has been developed is to continue to attract more and more consumers in order to help it grow or, in certain situations, just to remain in business. Most new businesses devote a significant amount of work at the outset of their operations to determining their target audience and identifying potential clients.
As a result, they consider the marketing strategies that they would employ to entice them in the hopes that they will make an investment in their company.
If you want to be successful, though, you must ensure that these consumers return in the future, ideally bringing others with them along with them as well. A loyal customer base is built on much more than providing high-quality products and services; it is built on rewarding customers for their loyalty and providing as many options as possible for customers to choose from.
Throughout this post, we will take a look at some of the options that you might consider offering them.
Are You Giving Your Customer Enough Choices?
1) Goods and services
Our society is become increasingly accustomed to the idea of having things customized or tailored to our specifications. Premium manufacturers and shops offer a wide variety of product possibilities, allowing us to select from a variety of sizes, colors, forms, and designs, as well as having our names printed or embossed on the item, all for the same price. As a small business, you are unlikely to be able to compete on such a massive scale, but consider the ways in which you might provide clients with more options when it comes to their purchasing decisions.
2) Methods of payment
It is critical to accept all major payment types in order to keep your customers coming back. With the onset of the Coronavirus pandemic, the days of making the vast majority of transactions using cash are long gone, with many people no longer even keeping cash on them at all times. The ability to pay with credit or debit cards, as well as using our iPhones for Apple Pay and via PayPal, is something that we all want. If you have an online store, you have even more alternatives at your disposal.
3) Shipping
Because of internet retailing behemoths such as Amazon, we have come to expect deliveries to be both quick and free of charge. There is no longer a need to wait two weeks for things when it is feasible to have items the next day, or even the same day, within hours of ordering, for free or at a minimal fee.
It is possible that, as a small firm, you will not be able to provide same-day delivery services. Next-day delivery, on the other hand, may not be completely impossible. As an alternative, consider setting a specific delivery day so that your customers know exactly when their package will come. You could also consider giving delivery to nearby stores or pick-up sites so that your customers do not have to worry about staying at home or missing their package.
