I Like Myself and I Cannot Hide It

Today is Toot Your Horn Day at Just Blog It!

We threw in this writing prompt for a specific reason: Most of us are excellent at being too critical of ourselves and are not so good at the opposite. Therefore, we challenged bloggers to share a favorite thing they like about themselves.

Now me personally, I give myself kudos and hi-fives daily like I’m on a basketball court. So I had to pick just one thing, hmmm…  where do I begin.

I guess one of my favorite things I love about myself is my ability to be a straight shooter and tell it like it is. I don’t do fluff and I am not a hype man (hip hop fans know what I mean).

One of the phrases most prospective clients hear from me: “I don’t do fluff-n-stuff.”

I appreciate honesty and sincerity, and I’m a no-nonsense kind of girl. In other words, when you’re looking for a definitive answer on something, I’m the one that gets the call because I am known to be straight up. I can be rather blunt when necessary – I’m a Philly chic, it’s in my blood.

Now this is not to be confused with being mean. I am one of the nicest people you will meet, and I’m always laughing and ready to have fun.

In a world where people are always talking about authenticity, I actually live it. I don’t believe you should placate someone, instead of being honest and helpful. I don’t find value in soothing your ego and steering you wrong, I care too much for that.

When asked a question, I lead with my best answer given the information available. I am no sugar coater, like, I seriously cannot muster such fluff. Sugar and spice is not in my DNA. I value honesty and integrity, and I lead with these traits.

I could go on and on, but this image can pretty much explain how I think about myself:
